LITURGICAL MINISTRY

EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION

Eucharistic ministers are a group of parishioners who are scheduled to distribute Holy Communion during Masses on Sunday and Holy Days.  They also volunteer at other scheduled Masses as needed.

LECTORS

They proclaim the Scripture readings and the Prayer of the Faithful at Masses.  Training is provided.

MASS SERVERS

Boys and girls grades 5-12 are invited to become servers for the Masses.  They may join at any time.

ADULT FUNERAL SERVERS

These are men and women of the parish who serve at funeral Masses.

USHERS

As part of the welcoming activity in the parish, they assist people with seating at services and provide the necessary information regarding the parish facilities; assist in the good order of the liturgy and are responsible for collecting the offerings at Mass.


MINISTRY OF MUSIC

ADULT CHOIR

The Adult Choir is the main liturgical choir at St. Anthony.  The Adult Choir is comprised of men and women of the parish.  The Adult Choir sings at every other Sunday Mass.  Any parishioner in High School or older is welcome to become a part of the Adult Choir.  Practices are scheduled as needed, primarily before major liturgical feasts.

YOUTH CHOIR

Membership in the Youth Choir is open to all youth of the parish.  This choir alternates Sunday choir responsibilities with the Adult Choir.  

RESURRECTION CHOIR

The Resurrection Choir provides the musical support for all funerals at St. Anthony.  Membership is open to all men and women. 


ST. ANTHONY PARISH ORGANIZATIONS

ST. HELEN’S ALTAR ROSARY LADIES SODALITY

Meetings are held in the Church rectory approximately on a quarterly basis.  Open to all women of the parish age 18 and older.  Among their activities are the care of the altar and kitchen, hosting an annual Halloween Party and Easter Egg Hunt for the children of the parish, as well as hosting the annual Mother/Daughter Banquet, Christmas Party and Wine Tasting night.

 

ST. JOSEPH’S MEN’S SODALITY OF ST. ANTHONY

Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of January, April, July and October.  The primary functions of the group are to foster the spiritual growth of the men of the parish and enhance the family and community atmosphere of the parish.  The members help with parish grounds keeping and maintenance and recite the rosary prior to the funeral Mass of the men of the parish.  In the recent past, the group has held brunches, pork chop dinners and family movie events.

 

ST. ANTHONY YOUTH MINISTRY

The youth ministry seeks to engage the youth of the parish in grades 7-12 by means of fellowship and service.

CYO Basketball

Basketball program open to high school students.  Teams play other parish groups from this area.  Any student wanting to play basketball must be enrolled and attending parish religious education classes.

 

ST. ANTHONY DINNER THEATER

The Saint Anthony Dinner Theater is an organization of adult and youth volunteers who have joined together to host an atmosphere of Christmas entertainment and to foster a sense of Christian community.
